A Word From The Pastor For January

Happy New Year To All.

What a wonderful Christmas we celebrated this year. I heard so many in the church say that they had one of the best Christmas’s they have ever had. I heard many say they expected to have a great New Year to come as well. Such a spirit of Hope and Joy are our heritage as children of God. We are to look to this New Year with an eye and heart of great things to come under God’s plan and guiding.

We had our children and adult Christmas programs during the past few weeks. I was just amazed at how great both of these were. The children and youth program was as good as any I have ever seen. The adult program told a wonderful and heart changing story that is true to life. It touched many hearts that night. We have so much talent and so many gifts in our membership; it still amazes me every time we see a special program. God has truly been using servants to fulfill His work.

I want to thank each person in our music department, adult, youth and children. The leaders and the sound tech guys, those who helped with props and costumes.  It takes a tremendous amount of work to do this and you came through with flying colors. Keep up the great work.

Now we have started a New Year, hard to believe but it is here. This New Year places many opportunities before us. We closed the year looking at the promises from God concerning our personal spiritual life. I challenged you with what to do this year with these promises and the Christmas story you now have been taught. We must now take that story of love and grace to our community. Remember we are God’s children and servants challenged with the task of Bringing Them In, Building Them Up, and Sending Them Out. Each of you have past the first part and many of you have moved to the place of going out to tell others of Christ. Let’s make 2010 a year to remember for Christ.
