A Word From The Pastor For July

Beulah Family,

We are in the middle of a hot summer. Temperatures are high and the kids are out of school. Some parents are starting to run low on things for kids to do and patience as well, but summer is always a wonderful time for everyone.  As I am writing this we are in the middle of VBS and so far it has been great! The classes are exciting and full this year. Our numbers are higher than last year. The lessons and music are exciting as usual. We are teaching many visitors about Christ and hope to see some come to know Him as their Savior this year. One of the exciting parts of VBS is watching all the teachers and workers pull together for a common goal. We see one of our largest outreach efforts in place with dozens of members working for the goal of sharing the gospel. I want to thank each of you for your time, energy and willingness to serve. God will bless you when we give Him the Glory. Thanks Guys!

As many of our families plan and take vacations this summer, please remember to be certain your ministries at church are covered during the time you are away. I always encourage our folks to take a break with the family, but don’t neglect the duties behind. Call your assistant when you are away, then go and enjoy your time of refreshing and renewing. This keeps the work moving forward and stability in the ministry. Take your devotion book and Bible with you also. There is something special and spiritual when you can study and pray on the beach or beside the lake, or just out by the pool. It can also be a great witness to others to see you in a quiet moment with God. You might even get an opportunity to share what you are reading with someone else!

Keep safe this summer and keep close to God. Remember to keep yourself close to God by attending worship and Bible Study weekly this summer. Don’t take a vacation from God.
