A Word From The Pastor For September

Beulah Family,

The summer has left us, vacations are about over for the year. Summer is always exciting especially to our kids. But the return of school is also exciting, new classes, new friends, and new homework. Sorry kids that was just a joke. Homework is often more work for parents than the kids though. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. The cooling of the weather, days are getting shorter; leaves are changing color and getting so beautiful. It is a wonderful time of year to see God’s wonder and beauty. We can see changes in nature that remind us of a God who is in control of all things, even the earth we stand upon. The leaves changing remind us that life changes daily whether we are ready or not. That is part of life, the leaves change, our body ages, our mind gets more congested with things, and our ministry becomes more important and urgent. 

During the fall each year we begin a new church year. September starts our new year with new teachers and leaders. I ask you to pray for yourself and each other. It is a very serious work we do; it holds eternal consequences for many people. We tend to forget that our work determines the eternity of people, God’s people. We must see it that way. Each teacher holds lives in their hands; each leader holds future generations in their reach.

Look at your work as a blessing from God that He is allowing you to be His partner in His plan and work. That is what we are doing; we are partners with God, not just workers. We are bondservants to our King, servants to our Master, and children of our Father. What a glorious King we serve. He controls the entire universe. Don’t ever allow anyone to take that truth away from you. I hope each of you will begin this New Year with eagerness and determination to make this the best year possible in Gods Kingdom work. We have a lot of things coming up in the next few months so watch your newsletter and bulletins closely. See you Sunday in Worship.
